Job summary

Constellation Technologies, Inc in Fort Meade, MD is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to manage Oracle/NoSQL databases, data migration, replication, and backup/recovery, while ensuring security and performance in a federal contracting setting.

Applicants must be a US citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and hold a technical Bachelor’s degree (or 4 additional years of DB experience). Strong scripting in SQL, Java, Python is expected.

Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position.

Required:

• Must be a US Citizen


• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph


• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline. Four (04) years of additional DB experience can be used in lieu of degree


• Must have at least ten (10) years of high-level, in-depth, dedicated database experience


• Must have in-depth experience as a Database Administrator to include proficiency in tasks such as data migration, data replication, user administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, issue investigation, issue resolution, and general administration


• Must have a solid understanding of databases, primarily Oracle and/or other relational and non-relational/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB


• Must have experience using Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and SQL in general


• Must have experience scripting with JavaScript, Bash/Linux shell scripting (in general), Perl, and/or Python


• Must have knowledge of programming languages to include Java


• Must be committed to adopting and adhering to best practices


• Must be able to effectively plan and prioritize tasking


• Must be capable of performing high quality work both independently, and with a team, in a fast-moving environment

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and/or as a member of an Agile team


• Experience with Cassandra


• Experience with MongoDB
