Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Senior/Mid-Level DBA to support a critical modernization effort for a defense operations application. The role focuses on Oracle DBMS, PL/SQL development, performance tuning, and secure data management onsite.

You will install, configure, monitor, and back up Oracle databases across environments, implement access controls, and work in a 4x10 onsite schedule under an active Secret clearance. Candidates must be U.S.

Senior/Mid-Level DBA

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced DBA to support a critical modernization effort for a mission-focused maintenance application supporting defense operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle DBMS and related software
• Advanced PL/SQL development (procedures, functions, triggers, and performance tuning)
• SQL: standard operations (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, JOINs, analytics) and optimization
• Advanced understanding of Oracle database structure, querying, and operational monitoring
• Authorize and manage user access with security compliance
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and optimize queries and database operations
• Perform backups, recoveries, and data migration across environments

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Replication strategies, high availability, and failure recovery architectures
• Oracle backup, recovery, and data migration strategies
• Build pipeline familiarity: CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins, Bitbucket/Git) for database changes
• Bitbucket/Git: version control operations including git push, pull, committing changes, and opening pull requests
• Version control operations (git push, pull, commits, pull requests)
