Job summary

You will guide both the data engineering and BI teams, creating scalable pipelines, defining KPIs, enforcing data quality, and mentoring analysts to raise the overall reporting capability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, BI, or analytics roles.
• Strong SQL and Python for pipeline development and analysis.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining production ETL/ELT pipelines with data quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own data models serving as the single source of truth for BI reporting.
• Create and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that feed models at scale with accuracy.
• Translate stakeholder needs into durable data models and pipelines; avoid ad hoc logic.
• Define and instrument KPIs using SQL and Python; ensure consistency across dashboards.
• Establish data quality checks, validation, and documentation for trusted reporting.
• Develop dashboards/visualizations (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) for actionable insights.
• Support leadership reporting with governed, well-documented data models.
• Evolve data platform/architecture; balance pragmatism with maintainability.
• Collaborate with IT and data partners for secure, scalable data access.
• Mentor engineers/analysts via reviews, pairing, and best-practice documentation.
• Promote data literacy through clear documentation and training.
• Answer complex questions with ad hoc SQL/Python when needed.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to speed up SQL, Python, and docs with governance.
