Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Data Scientist to support government, defense, and intelligence projects. You will apply statistical analysis, data mining, and ML to human performance and readiness data to produce actionable insights and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, data science, computer science or related quantitative field.
• 1+ year applying data science methods to real-world problems.
• Proficiency in Python or R for analysis and SQL for querying.
• Working knowledge of supervised and unsupervised ML methods.
• Ability to prepare and clean data including ETL/ELT concepts.
• Experience producing visual analytics and Power BI reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate predictive and prescriptive models to forecast operator readiness and improve performance.
• Query, clean, transform, and prepare data from government systems for analysis.
• Apply NLP techniques to text data within government-approved tools.
• Design and deploy dashboards and visual analytics using Power BI and Power Platform.
• Document data sources, transformations, methods, and validation procedures.
• Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with clinical and performance staff to improve input quality into systems.
