You will frame questions with government stakeholders, prepare data, apply methods, validate results, and communicate findings through reports and visual analytics built on government stacks. You will develop predictive and prescriptive models to forecast operator readiness and program efficacy, while supporting

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year applying data science or statistical methods to real-world problems.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and in SQL for querying relational data.
• Working knowledge of applied statistics and supervised/unsupervised ML methods.
• Ability to prepare and clean data including ETL/ELT, data modeling basics, reproducible workflows, and Git.
• Experience producing visual analytics and reports for decision-makers (Power BI preferred).
• Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders and translate mission needs into analytical outputs.

Responsibilities

• Query, clean, transform, and prepare data from government sources for analysis.
• Develop, validate, and document predictive and prescriptive models and forecasts.
• Support NLP use cases to analyze unstructured data with LLM workflows in approved tools.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain visual analytics and executive reports using government tools.
• Support analyses and experiments measuring ROI of POTFF interventions.
• Automate recurring analyses and monthly/quarterly reporting.
• Document data sources, transformations, assumptions, and validation procedures.
• Communicate complex concepts to non-technical leadership and staff.
• Collaborate with staff to improve data quality and input into government systems.
• Maintain data quality, security, and privacy controls (IL5, HIPAA, Privacy Act).
