Job summary

GDIT seeks a Data Scientist I to support mission-critical work on a dynamic program. You will perform basic data entry, cleaning, and performance analysis to improve readiness and resilience of SOF personnel in collaboration with program staff.

This role offers exposure to government systems, growth in statistics, data visualization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams across coaches, analysts, and clinicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quantitative science, social science or related discipline.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Access.
• Basic proficiency with SPSS, SAS, or R.
• Strong communication, detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Enter, clean, and prepare HP data collected through program initiatives.
• Build and maintain databases and spreadsheets capturing performance metrics, wellness indicators, and participation information.
• Collaborate with coaches, dietitians, athletic trainers, psychologists, and other specialists to identify data collection opportunities.
• Prepare basic reports and presentations communicating trends and readiness insights to program leadership.
