Job summary

Data Scientist on the VALUE team at Pearson translates data into actionable insights that drive product strategy and customer outcomes. You will analyze structured and unstructured data, develop ML solutions, and communicate findings through clear visualizations, reports, and recommendations.

You will partner with Product Managers, Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and Analysts to apply AI to decision-making, automate processes, and create measurable business value, including responsible AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of data science, analytics, ML, or related roles.
• Demonstrated Python usage for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
• Experience with statistical analysis and predictive modeling.

Responsibilities

• Analyze structured and unstructured data to derive actionable insights.
• Develop and validate statistical and ML models aligned to VALUE objectives.
• Communicate findings via dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to translate questions into analytics.
• Evaluate AI-enabled capabilities and support responsible AI practices.
