Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Data Scientist for the VALUE team to convert data into actionable insights that influence product strategy and business outcomes. You will analyze structured and unstructured data, build statistical and ML solutions, and present findings through clear visuals and reports.

You will partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Analysts, and Data Engineers to identify opportunities where data and AI can improve decision-making, automate workflows, and enhance customer experiences

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of data science or analytics experience.
• Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
• Statistical analysis, EDA, and predictive modeling experience.
• Agile product/engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to AI-enabled products and initiatives across VALUE portfolio.
• Develop and evaluate prompts, retrieval strategies, and AI workflows.
• Build evaluation frameworks for AI accuracy, latency, and business impact.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Analysts to translate questions into analytics.
• Analyze datasets to derive actionable insights and define KPIs.
