Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Data Scientist for the VALUE team to transform data into actionable insights that drive product strategy and customer outcomes. You will analyze structured and unstructured data, develop statistical and ML solutions, and communicate findings through visualizations, dashboards, and reports.

You will collaborate with Product, Software, Data, and QA teams to identify opportunities where data and AI improve decisions, automate workflows, and create measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a data-related field.
• 3+ years in data science, analytics, ML, or related roles.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
• Experience with statistical analysis, EDA, and predictive modeling.
• Experience in Agile product or engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to AI-enabled products and operational initiatives across the VALUE portfolio.
• Develop and evaluate prompts, retrieval strategies, model outputs, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Build evaluation frameworks for AI accuracy, relevancy, reliability, latency, and impact.
• Partner with engineering to integrate AI into production services and platforms.
• Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to diverse audiences.
• Mentor peers and share knowledge through collaboration and documentation.
