Job description

Our Client, a Mortgage Financing company, is looking for a Data Protection Analyst for their Reston, VA location.

Responsibilities:
  1. The Data Protection Analyst is responsible for engaging IT teams to implement required security measures to protect personally identifiable and other sensitive data in databases and files.
  2. Analyze large volumes of data, identify trends and relationships using advanced Excel features and PowerBI, and provide actionable recommendations.
Requirements:
  1. Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of data security, cryptography, and security tools. Familiarity with data scanning tools, encryption methods, and reviewing Splunk logs is important. Experience with programming languages to automate tasks is a plus.
  2. Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data, identify security threats, and develop mitigation strategies. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
  3. Communication Skills: Ability to explain security measures to non-technical stakeholders, write clear reports, and collaborate effectively with teams.
