Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to drive enterprise privacy engineering and data protection across structured and unstructured data, ensuring secure, compliant use of data while enabling business innovation.

You will partner with engineering, product, legal, compliance and cybersecurity teams to implement PETs, DLP, data classification, and privacy-by-design; lead risk assessments and governance to strengthen the organization’s privacy posture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years advancing Privacy Engineering, Security Engineering, Data Protection, Cybersecurity, or related technical disciplines.
• 5+ years designing and deploying enterprise-scale data protection capabilities.
• Strong software engineering foundation with 5+ years Python/Java/Go or similar languages.
• 5+ years operating in cloud-native and DevSecOps environments with IaC and CI/CD.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, or compliance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and implementation of data protection and privacy engineering across data environments.
• Design and deploy PETs, including encryption, tokenization, anonymization, and DLP.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, legal, compliance, and cybersecurity teams on privacy-by-design.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments, threat modeling, and control evaluations.
• Drive governance, metrics, automation, and continuous improvement of privacy posture.
