Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to advance enterprise privacy engineering and data protection capabilities across structured and unstructured data environments. You will drive PET design, encryption, tokenization, anonymization, DLP, and governance within a healthcare giant.

You will partner with engineering, legal, and compliance, leading risk assessments, threat modeling, and privacy-by-design initiatives to safeguard PHI and PII while enabling responsible data use.

Qualifications

• 7+ years advancing Privacy Engineering, Security Engineering, Data Protection, or related technical disciplines.
• 5+ years designing and deploying enterprise-scale data protection capabilities.
• Strong software engineering foundation with 5+ years programming in Python/Java/Go.
• 5+ years operating in cloud-native and DevSecOps environments with IaC.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional privacy or data protection initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and implementation of enterprise data protection and privacy engineering across structured and unstructured data.
• Design and deploy Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) including encryption, tokenization, DLP, and anonymization.
• Partner with engineering, product, legal, and security teams to embed privacy-by-design principles.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments and threat modeling to identify and mitigate risks.
• Drive governance, metrics, automation, and continuous improvement of privacy posture.
