Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting a Data Platform Manager to own strategy, architecture, and governance for a modern data lakehouse across Orthopedics. You will lead Databricks-based data products, ingestion pipelines, and cross‑functional collaboration with analytics and AI teams.

You will drive platform ownership, establish standards, and guide internal engineers and partners while balancing continuity with future-state platforms. The role includes onsite work with travel requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; computer science/engineering or related field preferred.
• Masters degree preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in data engineering/platform roles.
• Strong hands-on with Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, Python and SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).

Responsibilities

• Own the Data Platform strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
• Lead the design of a scalable Databricks lakehouse.
• Develop reusable ingestion, transformation, and data-pipeline frameworks.
• Establish engineering standards, testing, CI/CD, and security practices.
• Govern data engineering with governance, lineage, quality, and observability.
• Provide technical governance for business separation activities.
• Lead internal engineers and external partners; manage delivery.
