Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Data Platform Manager to own strategy, architecture, and roadmaps for a modern data platform enabling trusted data products, analytics, and AI across Orthopedics. You will lead the Data Foundation initiative toward a scalable lakehouse using Databricks and cloud services, with governance and observability baked in.

You will guide teams, partner with data governance, and oversee vendor engagements while delivering measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional work experience.
• Leadership experience in data engineering or data platforms.
• Experience designing and modernizing data platforms or lakehouses with strategy-to-roadmap delivery.
• Hands-on with Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, SQL, Delta Lake, cloud services (Azure/AWS).
• Experience with orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow, ADF, Glue).
• Strong data architecture, dimensional modeling, and production-grade testing/CI-CD practices.
• Ability to govern and partner on data governance, lineage, quality, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Own Data Platform strategy, architecture, and roadmaps.
• Design and evolve a Databricks lakehouse with medallion architecture.
• Build reusable data ingestion/pipeline frameworks and data-quality controls.
• Establish engineering standards for data modeling, testing, and CI/CD.
• Lead governance and observability across data products and pipelines.
• Guide internal engineers and external partners; manage delivery roadmaps.
