Job summary

J.Jill, a Boston-based lifestyle brand, seeks a Lead Data Architect to own the enterprise data architecture and Databricks Lakehouse. You will drive master data management, data governance, and AI-ready data platforms while partnering with Legal, Security, and Marketing teams to enable trusted analytics and scalable data products.

The role requires extensive data architecture leadership, Databricks expertise, and strong collaboration across business functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, data management, statistics, or related field.
• At least 10 years in data architecture, engineering, management, or stewardship roles.
• 5+ years with lakehouse platforms (Databricks/Snowflake) and data governance.
• Hands-on Databricks experience at scale and knowledge of PySpark/SQL.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise data architecture and Databricks Lakehouse platform end-to-end.
• Lead data governance, stewardship, and master data management across domains.
• Define data contracts, data quality standards, and lifecycle for analytics and AI.
• Mentor data engineers and collaborate with legal, security, and product teams.
