Job summary

Alameda Alliance is seeking an experienced Data Platform SME to provide technical leadership for the enterprise data platform. You will design, implement, and optimize data ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics while aligning with healthcare regulatory requirements.

Lead ETL initiatives, govern data standards, and mentor teams. Leverage SSIS, Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake in Azure cloud to deliver scalable, secure data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7-10 years in data engineering, data platform development, Technical Lead or SME roles.
• 3+ years acting as a technical lead, architect, or subject matter expert.
• Deep expertise in data platforms (data lakes, data warehouses, lakehouse).
• Strong experience with cloud-based data ecosystems (Azure).
• Advanced SQL, data modeling, SSIS Packages and Datawarehousing principles.
• Hands-on experience with big data and analytics tools (e.g., Spark, Databricks, Snowflake).
• Knowledge of data governance, security, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ownership mindset with accountability for delivering scalable, secure data platform solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for the enterprise data platform and lead architecture decisions.
• Define and evolve the data platform architecture and technical roadmap.
• Provide technical leadership to data engineering and analytics teams.
• Advise on the use of AI and advanced analytics within the data platform.
• Establish data standards, governance, security, and best practices.
• Lead the ETL initiatives and own the Applications from SME perspective.
• Modernize SSIS packages and guide tooling decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align data solutions with business needs.
• Mentor teammates and promote data platform best practices.
• Ensure healthcare data privacy and regulatory alignment.
