Job summary

The Alliance is seeking an experienced Data Platform SME to lead enterprise data platform design and governance. The role focuses on scalable, secure data solutions, applying AI and advanced analytics while aligning with healthcare regulations.

Hybrid work arrangement requires California residency on day one. You will mentor analysts, guide architecture decisions, and drive data tooling strategy across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 7–10 years in data engineering, data platform development, Technical Lead or SME roles.
• 3+ years acting as technical lead, architect, or SME.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize data ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics systems.
• Support data pipelines that enable analytics and AI/ML use cases.
• Collaborate with ETL developers to integrate data and analytics solutions into enterprise applications.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, availability, and performance across the platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data platform issues and lead root-cause analysis.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement data platform technologies and enhancements.
• Support scalability, cost optimization, and operational efficiency of data systems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and architectural standards.
• Mentor team members and promote data platform best practices.
