Job summary

Visionet Systems Inc. in Cranbury, NJ is seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale data platforms.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to establish scalable, secure data ecosystems that enable advanced analytics and AI initiatives across Azure, AWS and GCP, leveraging Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, BigQuery and cloud-native services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
• 5+ years designing cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with enterprise data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse.
• Proficiency with Azure Databricks and Apache Spark development.
• Strong SQL and Spark SQL knowledge.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory integration workflows.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric components including Data Factory, Lakehouse, and Warehouse.
• Knowledge of Google BigQuery architecture and administration.
• Experience governing data with Unity Catalog.

• Lead the design of scalable lakehouse architectures using Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop and optimize batch and near real-time data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Apache Spark, and cloud-native services.
• Establish and enforce data governance, security, and metadata management practices utilizing Unity Catalog.
• Define standards for data quality, lineage, access control, and compliance.
• Optimize data processing workloads for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to development and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD practices for data solutions.
• Conduct architecture reviews, proof-of-concepts, and technology evaluations.
• Able to lead C-level and executive conversations and present technical thought leadership.
• Able to lead data strategy conversation and own overall architecture of solution.

• Proven experience designing enterprise data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse solutions.
• Extensive experience with Azure Databricks and Apache Spark development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Spark SQL.
• Experience implementing data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric components including Data Factory, Lakehouse, and Warehouse capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of Google BigQuery architecture, optimization, and administration.
• Experience implementing governance frameworks using Unity Catalog.
• Experience developing serverless solutions using GCP Cloud Functions.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
