Job summary

The Data Integrity Manager at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center provides strategic leadership for Medical Information Management, including EMPI, chart correction, medical identity theft resolution, deficiency tracking, medical record completion, and transcription services.

This role ensures the integrity, quality, accessibility, and legal reliability of the EHR while supporting patient safety, regulatory compliance, documentation excellence, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health information administration or equivalent degree is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Master’s degree in business administration, Computer and Information Science or Public Administration preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with electronic health record and health information management applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and strategic leadership for EMPI, Chart Correction, Medical Identity Theft Resolution, Deficiency Tracking, Medical Record Completion, and Transcription Services Management.
• Ensure the integrity, quality, accessibility, and legal reliability of the electronic health record (EHR).
• Collaborate with Medical Staff Leadership, Clinical Care Teams, Operational Leaders, Compliance, Privacy, Revenue Cycle, Coding, Patient Accounting/Financial Services, Patient Access, IT, Risk Management, Legal, OSU Physicians, Community Connect Affiliates, and other stakeholders to improve patient safety and data integrity.
• Drive process improvements, quality assurance programs, and performance metrics for Medical Information Management.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in health information administration or equivalent degree

Master’s degree in business administration, Computer and Information Science or Public Administration preferred
