Job summary

St. Louis Community College is seeking a data integration engineer to plan, design, and implement application integration across the college system. You will translate business needs into technical solutions, document specifications, and work with vendors to ensure reliable data exchanges.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Computer Science and at least three years in data integration within hybrid cloud/on-prem environments, with experience in Ellucian Banner SIS and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of direct involvement with the design, development and execution of data integration and solutions in a hybrid cloud and on-premises environment.
• Experience with Ellucian Banner SIS and ERP systems is preferred.
• Experience in higher education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning, coordination, and solution development and implementation activities for software integration.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications for electronic interfaces and data exchanges; translate functional specs into technical designs.
• Develop optimization processes for data integration platforms to handle increasing data volumes.
• Provide support for complex operational activities and coordinate with vendors and external service providers.
• Contribute to project documentation and support application integrations across lines of business.
• Stay current on emerging data integration technologies to meet enterprise needs.
