Job summary

South College is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain integrations across multiple college systems, including SIS and LMS. You will work with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement middleware, ETL tools, and integration frameworks to ensure seamless data exchange.

You will collaborate across departments, ensure compliance with FERPA/GDPR, monitor data flows, and contribute to documentation and best practices in a fast-paced higher-education

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, CS or related field.
• 5+ years proven experience as a Software Engineer / Developer focusing on integrations.
• Experience with cloud-based middleware and integration platforms (Azure ES, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus).
• Experience with ETL tools and data warehousing (Azure Synapse, SQL Server).
• Optional experience in education sector; proven tech leadership across IT disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations across SIS, LMS, financial and other systems.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and identify integration needs.
• Implement and configure middleware, ETL tools, and integration frameworks.
• Ensure data privacy and security per FERPA/GDPR; collaborate with vendors for issue resolution.
• Create docs and best practices; monitor data flows and ensure reliability.
