Job summary

Wing is offering a 12-week paid software engineering internship in Palo Alto, CA, focused on the Data Infrastructure team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for telemetry and logs from a global drone fleet.

Eligible candidates are current students graduating in 2027 or 2028, with strong communication skills and prior engineering experience. The program is hybrid, in-person, with May/June start dates and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, graduating between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on challenging problems with guidance from a mentor and independently.
• Strong examples of previous engineering experience from internships or extracurricular projects.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a scoped engineering project to design, develop, and test a service addressing a real-world challenge for Wing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with software engineers, aerospace engineers, and flight operations teams to integrate diverse data sources.
• Gain hands-on experience optimizing batch or interactive services and building scalable data systems in production.
• Work with massive, real-world datasets generated by a global fleet of drones.
