Job summary

Wing is seeking an Aerodynamics Engineering Intern to join the Aircraft Development team in Palo Alto, CA. This 12-week paid summer internship is hybrid and in-person, with May or June start dates.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team on the design, prototyping, and optimization of next-generation drone delivery aircraft. You will analyze aerodynamics, propulsion, and flight dynamics, while collaborating with engineers across teams to advance our drone technology.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Aerospace Engineering, graduating between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Strong hands-on engineering experience from work, university, internships, or student organizations.
• Familiarity with aircraft design, aerodynamics, and flight dynamics.
• Familiarity with propulsion and aerodynamic modeling.
• Familiarity with using CAD software for design and prototyping.
• Passion for aviation, drones, or related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze aerodynamics, flight dynamics, propulsion, and aircraft performance using experimental and computational methods.
• Support aircraft and propulsion system development through prototyping, testing, modeling, and analysis.
• Collaborate closely with Wing teams such as mechanical engineering, GNC, simulation, and flight test.
