Wing offers a 12-week paid summer internship focused on hardware reliability in Palo Alto, CA. This hybrid, in-person program is for current students who will return to their degree program after completion.

The role involves designing test fixtures, maintaining DAQ systems, and performing failure analysis to improve aircraft hardware and ground infrastructure. Applicants should be enrolled in a relevant degree and expect to graduate between December 2027 and August 2028.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, CS, or related field, graduating 2027–2028.
• Proficiency in Python or similar for instrument control or data analysis.
• Familiarity with power systems and electrical fundamentals.
• Hands-on lab work with hardware testing and failure inspection.

Responsabilités

• Design test fixtures to stress, validate, and characterize aircraft subsystems under various environmental conditions.
• Select, build, and maintain data acquisition (DAQ) systems and automated test scripts.
• Plan and execute testing for aircraft propulsion, camera, communications and power delivery systems.
• Help evaluate field failures and manufacturing issues through analysis and DOE.
• Collect data for root cause analysis or failure replication.
• Assess failure modes and create FMEAs to influence design improvements.
• Produce procedures to reliably execute test plans.
