Job summary

RBC Capital Markets LLC in Minneapolis seeks a Manager, Data Management and Governance to lead data governance efforts for US Wealth Management. You will collaborate with stakeholders, IT, and the Enterprise CDO to implement data standards of care, manage metadata, lineage and data quality, and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will curate governance information, produce KPI/KRI reports, and drive continuous improvement across data management practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with data management, governance and risk concepts including data dictionaries, lineage, metadata management, data quality and issue remediation.
• Experience in Wealth Management data governance or risk management role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills with ability to facilitate and present.
• Detail-oriented and able to follow through on complex processes.
• Strong organizational awareness and ability to raise risks and issues as needed.

Responsibilities

• Implement data standards of care per enterprise data risk policy to mature governance capabilities (accountability, metadata management, lineage, data sourcing, data quality and controls).
• Curate information in the data governance/metadata management platform and act as platform SME.
• Produce and maintain reports on KPIs, KRIs, and program status for governance compliance.
• Collaborate with Business Units, IT and Enterprise Functions to establish sustainable data management practices across USWM.
• Support cross-functional partners in agile, non-invasive governance practices satisfying regulatory/audit requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects to elevate artefacts and develop scalable processes as we extend into new data areas (e.g., AI governance).
