Job summary

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a data governance professional to implement and support metadata management, data lineage and data quality with AI tools. You will work with data domain owners and SMEs to define CDEs and business rules, and build end-to-end lineage across disparate systems.

Responsibilities include creating data flow diagrams, developing data quality dashboards in Tableau, and accelerating tasks with AI.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively and as part of a team to successfully complete projects.
• Ability to multitask and meet aggressive deadlines efficiently and effectively.
• Proficient with Python and SQL for data handling and analysis.
• Strong interest or foundational experience using Generative AI tools to accelerate workflows and problem-solve.
• Understanding of data governance concepts or tools like Collibra.
• Strong data analysis capabilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office desktop tools.
• Experience with Business Intelligence/ Reporting tools such as Tableau.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to work with users, peers and management.
• Familiarity with draw.io or similar diagramming tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify CDEs with Data Domain Owners and SMEs, define data elements for the glossary and business rules.
• Collaborate with data owners and stewards to identify data sources and build out the business metadata.
• Communicate effectively with Business and Technical SMEs, Architects, Analysts, Developers and other IT and business teams.
• Build end to end data lineage across disparate sources with SMEs and developers.
• Create data flow diagrams and data mappings at the field level using AI.
• Build data quality rules for CDEs and manage quality exceptions.
• Develop Data Quality Dashboards and reports in Tableau.
• Actively use AI technologies to accelerate daily tasks and trace data flows.
• Help build reusable AI agents to monitor data quality and lineage changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
