Job summary

DTCC in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Data Governance Associate to support enterprise governance across business domains. You will work with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and technology teams to improve data quality, transparency, and regulatory compliance.

You will gain expertise in metadata management, data lineage, data quality, and risk management while helping advance enterprise governance initiatives within a dynamic, hybrid work environment offering three onsite days per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of data governance concepts and metadata management.
• Experience with governance tools such as Collibra or Ataccama.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation of enterprise Data Governance policies, standards, and procedures within assigned business areas.
• Support the collection, documentation, validation, and maintenance of business metadata, technical metadata, and data lineage information.
• Support onboarding of data domains, systems, reports, and critical data elements into governance processes and repositories.
• Maintain governance documentation, inventories, governance artifacts, and records to ensure information remains accurate and current.
• Support governance reporting activities through data gathering, dashboard updates, metric tracking, KPI reporting, and presentation preparation.
• Partner with business and technology teams to gather requirements and document business needs for governance initiatives and technology solutions, including support for translating requirements into user stories.
• Assist in identifying and documenting data quality issues, governance gaps, risks, and remediation activities.
• Support Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) activities, governance assessments, control documentation, and remediation tracking efforts for assigned business areas.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, and working sessions to support governance initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
