Job summary

OCC in Chicago seeks a data governance engineer to implement governance, metadata management, data lineage and data quality using AI tools.

You will collaborate with data owners and SMEs to define CDEs, business glossary concepts, and data rules, and to map data flows across systems.

The role includes building Tableau dashboards to monitor data health, accelerating tasks with Generative AI, and contributing to a hybrid work model (up to 2 days remote).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data analytics, CS, or related field.
• Proficient with Python and SQL for data handling and analysis.
• Experience with BI/Reporting tools such as Tableau.
• Familiarity with Collibra and data governance concepts.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support data governance processes leveraging AI.
• Define data elements for Business Glossary and business rules.
• Build end-to-end data lineage across sources with SMEs.
• Create data flow diagrams and mappings across systems using AI.
• Develop Data Quality Dashboards in Tableau.
• Identify CDEs and monitor data quality with owners and SMEs.
• Communicate with business and technical stakeholders.
