Job summary

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a data governance professional to implement and support governance processes leveraging AI technologies. You will work on metadata management, data lineage, data quality, and related governance functions across business and technical domains.

Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and SMEs to define CDEs, build business metadata, and create data flow diagrams.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Python and SQL for data handling and analysis.
• Experience with Generative AI tools to accelerate workflows.
• Understanding of data governance concepts or tools like Collibra.
• Strong data analysis capabilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office desktop tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Identify CDEs (Critical Data Elements), define data elements for the Business Glossary and define business rules.
• Collaborate with data owners and stewards to identify data sources and build out the business metadata.
• Communicate effectively with Business and Technical SMEs, Architects, Analysts, Developers and other IT and business teams.
• Build end to end business and technical data lineage across disparate sources working with business and technical SMEs/developers.
• Create data flow diagrams and data mappings at the field level across systems by leveraging AI to analyze technical designs and data paths.
• Build data quality rules for the critical data elements (CDEs) and manage data quality exceptions.
• Develop Data Quality Dashboards and reports in Tableau for monitoring and reporting data health.
• Actively use AI technologies to accelerate daily tasks, understand data sets and trace data flows.
• Help build reusable AI agents to automate data quality anomalies/issues identification, monitoring and track data lineage changes over time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
