Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a data analytics professional to develop and automate tools and data workflows supporting engineering, design, sales, and manufacturing across North America. You’ll join a growing Analytics, ML, and AI team, partnering with experts to build data products for high-efficiency products worldwide.

You’ll translate requirements into tools, enhance analytics capabilities, deploy models with IT, and lead cross-functional projects while communicating value to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent degree.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in a data and analytics role, preferably for data engineering or data analytics.
• Experience with solving problems through automation.
• Experience with agile methodology and concepts.
• Experience with Dataiku, Tableau, Oracle BI, RapidMiner, Azure BI, Google Cloud Products (BigQuery), or other analytics tools.
• Experience with AI tools such as Azure AI Foundry, or Vertex AI is preferred.
• Knowledge of Product Definition and Configuration concepts preferred.
• Ability to travel. Expected travel time ~ 5%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and automate analytical tools and data workflows to support engineering, design, sales and manufacturing.
• Improve analytics capabilities through workflow efficiency, automation, documentation and enhancements.
• Collaborate with IT to scale and deploy models, tools and AI.
• Develop analytics capabilities using ML/AI for engineering problems with Product Development or External Customers.
• Lead cross-functional projects to maintain analytic workflows and visualizations.
• Coordinate with Engineering Technology Center and partners on work changes.
• Monitor production data sets for consistency and quality.
• Serve as a data knowledge consultant to other functions.
