Job summary

American Family Insurance is offering a Data Engineer internship in Madison, WI. The program spans 10 to 14 weeks, starting mid to late May and ending in August. Interns will build data pipelines using SQL, Python, and cloud technologies, with opportunities for networking and coaching.

Qualifications

Must be enrolled as a student at an accredited 4-year college or university during the internship, graduating August 2027 or later.
Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree.
Major/program must align with internship role.

Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of the business, culture, and structure to support your work.
Contribute ideas and strategic approaches in response to changing situations.
Build and enhance data pipelines using SQL, Python, and cloud technologies like GCP or AWS.
Analyze data issues, perform quality checks, and support troubleshooting and resolution.
Collaborate with engineering and business teams to document solutions and deliver reliable data for analytics and reporting.
