Job summary

American Family Insurance invites rising juniors and seniors to join the Summer 2027 Intern - Product Pricing and Data Science Engineering. You will support the development, pricing, and underwriting of insurance products, and work on data pipelines, cloud platforms and AI-enabled applications, gaining hands-on experience with Python, BigQuery and Airflow.

The 10- to 14-week internship starts mid to late May and ends in August.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student at an accredited 4-year college or university.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Science or Computer Science.
• Graduating August 2027 or later; strongly prefer August 2028 or later.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of the business, culture and structure to support your work.
• Contribute creative ideas and strategic approaches in response to changing situations.
• Work on data engineering projects, analytics pipelines, cloud-based data platforms, and AI-enabled applications using Python, BigQuery and Airflow.
