Travelers Hartford is seeking a Data Engineer II to build and operationalize data pipelines that support analytics, AI, and BI across the enterprise. You will translate data stories into scalable solutions using Python, SQL, Databricks, and AWS.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree and extensive hands-on experience; you will lead technical efforts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure data quality, governance, and security while delivering in small batches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field; 8+ years data engineering experience.
• Experience with Python, SQL, Databricks and AWS in a production setting.
• Familiarity with ETL tools such as Ab Initio or Informatica.

Responsibilities

• Build and operationalize complex data pipelines for analytics and AI.
• Analyze data sources to determine value and inclusion in analytical processes.
• Ensure data governance, security, and quality across pipelines.
• Collaborate across teams to support delivery and educate users on data products.
• Test data movement and transformations, troubleshoot defects.
