Job summary

Deloitte's AI & Data team seeks a Data Engineer II to design, build, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines supporting analytics and AI use cases.

You will work across cloud and on-prem environments, integrating diverse data sources and ensuring data quality while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver client value. Candidates should have 1+ years of ETL, Python, SQL, and relational DB experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field
• 0-2 years of experience in Agile delivery environments
• 1+ years of experience in ETL architecture and development
• 1+ years of experience using Python and SQL to build or support data pipelines
• 1+ years of experience working with relational database management systems
• Ability to travel 0-10%, based on client needs
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining batch and streaming data pipelines for reporting, analytics, and AI use cases
• Building and optimizing ETL processes using SQL, Python, and data engineering frameworks
• Integrating data from structured and unstructured sources across cloud and on-prem environments
• Supporting data quality, validation, monitoring, and issue resolution for production data assets
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement data models and improve platform performance
• Lead projects or workstreams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
