Job summary

Deloitte’s AI & Data team is seeking a PROJECT - Data Engineer II in Dallas, TX to design, build, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines for analytics and AI use cases. You will work with Python, SQL, and data engineering frameworks to integrate data across cloud and on‑prem environments, ensure data quality, and support cross‑functional client delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as CS/Engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience in Agile delivery environments.
• 1+ years of experience in ETL architecture and development.
• 1+ years of Python and SQL for building data pipelines.
• 1+ years of experience with relational database management systems.
• Ability to travel 0–10%, based on client needs.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines for reporting and analytics.
• Build and optimize ETL processes using SQL, Python, and data engineering frameworks.
• Integrate data from structured and unstructured sources across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Support data quality, validation, monitoring, and issue resolution for production data assets.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement data models and improve platform performance.
• Ability to lead projects or workstreams and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
