Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a PROJECT - Data Engineer II on the AI & Data team to design, develop, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines that support reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, apply Python and SQL, integrate data from structured and unstructured sources across cloud and on‑prem environments, and help ensure data quality, reliability, and timely delivery for client projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field
• 0-2 years of experience working in Agile delivery environments
• 1+ years of experience in extract, transform, and load architecture and development
• 1+ years of experience using Python and Structured Query Language to build or support data pipelines
• 1+ years of experience working with relational database management systems
• Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining batch and streaming data pipelines that support reporting, analytics, and artificial intelligence use cases
• Building and optimizing extract, transform, and load processes using SQL, Python, and data engineering frameworks
• Integrating data from structured and unstructured sources across cloud and on-premises environments
• Supporting data quality, validation, monitoring, and issue resolution activities for production data assets
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement data models, improve platform performance, and support client delivery objectives
• Ability to lead projects or workstreams
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
