Job summary

Deloitte's GPS AI & Data team seeks a PROJECT - Data Engineer II to design, build, and optimize data pipelines supporting analytics, AI, and reporting. You will collaborate with analysts, architects, and clients to translate requirements into scalable data solutions, while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Preferred candidates bring experience with cloud platforms, data modeling, and data visualization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a technical field
• 1+ years of experience developing Power Apps solutions and 1+ years of experience using SQL and Python
• 1+ years of experience with data visualization and data mining
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
• Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines that support analytics, reporting, and artificial intelligence use cases
• Develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions using cloud-based platforms and engineering tools
• Implement data models, data quality controls, and monitoring processes to improve accuracy, reliability, and performance
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, developers, and client stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into data solutions
• Support deployment, documentation, defect resolution, and ongoing enhancement of data products and platform components
• The team: ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team, strong communication, attention to detail, and leadership of projects/workstreams
