Job summary

Deloitte's AI & Data team is seeking a Data Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines that support reporting, analytics, and AI use cases across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement data models, optimize platform performance, ensure data quality, and support client delivery objectives while managing multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field.
• 0-2 years of experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• 1+ years of experience in extract, transform, and load architecture and development.
• 1+ years of experience using Python and Structured Query Language to build or support data pipelines.
• 1+ years of experience working with relational database management systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines that support reporting, analytics, and artificial intelligence use cases.
• Build and optimize extract, transform, and load processes using SQL, Python, and data engineering frameworks.
• Integrate data from structured and unstructured sources across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Support data quality, validation, monitoring, and issue resolution activities for production data assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data models, improve platform performance, and support client delivery objectives.
• Lead projects or workstreams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
