Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architecture in Databricks and Google Cloud Platform to support Finance stakeholders.

You will work on ingesting, processing, and transforming large-scale datasets, collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and business partners to deliver reliable data assets and secure cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience or equivalent practical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java).
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, preferably.
• Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and IAM.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data warehouse concepts.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Databricks and GCP services.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality datasets.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting for data reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and establish best practices for data engineering.
• Tune performance to optimize processing times and cloud costs.
• Assist in migrating legacy data workflows to modern cloud platforms.
