Job summary

CGS is seeking a Data Engineer to support a growing Data Analytics and BI platform for federal customers. You will work on data pipelines, ETL processes, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced government contracting environment.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in IT data engineering, strong Python/SQL skills, and experience with PostgreSQL, Tableau/Power BI, and CI/CD practices. This on-site Detroit role offers growth and exposure to innovative data solutions.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• 7+ years IT experience in data engineering.
• Experience with ETL from diverse sources.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and data modeling.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and data storage tech.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop data pipelines across multiple sources to store and provision data.
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum team to deliver data solutions.
• Write code to ensure reliable data extraction and processing performance.
• Automate data ingestion processes for efficiency.
• Promote lean-agile engineering and API-first design.
• Work with PMs and engineers to document complex requirements.
• Foster a culture of customer service, collaboration, and teamwork.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including UX researchers and PMs.
