CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is hiring a Data Engineer to support a growing Data Analytics and BI platform for federal customers. The role emphasizes building data pipelines, data extraction, processing, and delivering insights to data consumers in an Agile environment.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and UX researchers to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions, while promoting lean-agile engineering and robust CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years IT experience designing and solutioning large data sets and models.
• Experience building data pipelines from structured and unstructured sources.
• Proficiency with ETL, data validation, and quality checks.
• Strong SQL, Python, R or SAS for data manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end data pipelines to store, manage, and provision data to consumers.
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum team and follow best practices.
• Write code to ensure performance and reliability of data extraction and processing.
• Support automated data ingest and CI/CD workflows.
• Translate complex data requirements into scalable analytics solutions.
