Job summary

California Franchise Tax Board is seeking a Data Engineer to design, maintain, and implement complex data integration services for the agency's enterprise data stores. You will collaborate with multiple teams to deliver robust data solutions while ensuring data integrity and privacy.

The role emphasizes building expertise in FTB's data architecture, leveraging Azure Cloud, SQL, and ETL tools, and supporting stakeholders across the organization. Hybrid telework is available.

Qualifications

• Experience reading relational database Physical Data Models (PDM).
• Experience in Azure DevOps and Azure Cloud skill sets.
• Experience writing and working with SQL queries or Unix/Linux scripts.
• Experience with SDLC tools, methodologies, and processes.
• Knowledge of ETL tools such as IBM DataStage, Informatica, or Microsoft SSIS.
• Knowledge of Apache Hive or Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
• Knowledge of Big Data and data streaming tools like JSON, Python, and HQL.
• Experience with the PySpark Data Framework.
