Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking a Store Planner in Oak Brook, IL, to drive data‑driven store plans from analytics through execution. You will influence cross‑functional teams and mentor junior staff, ensuring optimal department placement and floor plan accuracy across remodels, relocations, and new stores.

The role requires architectural/design experience, knowledge of retail merchandising, and proficiency with JDA Floor Planning and CKB.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in architecture or related field with minimum 3 years of design/merchandising experience.
Understanding of interior retail/fixture design and lighting configurations.
Knowledge of ADA, building codes, exterior design.
Familiarity with market trends and consumer behavior in retail.

Responsibilities

Lead store plan development from analytics to recommendations and execution.
Mentor junior team members and lead cross‑functional projects.
Ensure best practices in department/category placement, adjacencies, and floor plan accuracy.
Monitor category KPI trends and drive improvements in layouts and space allocation.
