Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking a Store Planner to lead data-driven store layouts for new stores, remodels, and expansions. You will design architectural and fixture layouts, allocate categories, plan lighting, and develop signage and storefront elevations using Photoshop for retailers and prospects.

Position requires collaboration with Category Management, Visual Merchandising, Space Planning, and Field Operations, mentoring junior staff, and delivering consumer-centric layouts aligned with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3 years of experience in architectural design and retail merchandise planning
• Understanding of interior retail/fixture design, electrical & lighting configuration, ADA requirements, building codes
• Understanding of retail industry trends, consumer purchase behavior, and basic merchandising techniques
• Ability to lead and mentor junior team members

Responsibilities

• Maximize retailer sales by building productive, consumer-relevant store plans
• Execute store planning/design and merchandising principles to drive performance
• Consult with Project Manager and Retailer to develop plan strategy
• Leverage JDA Floor Planning and CKB to uphold floor plan integrity
• Mentor and train new and junior team members
• Lead remodeling, new store plan sessions, and cross-functional collaboration
• Monitor category KPIs and propose adjacencies and space changes
• Provide direct customer service to retailers as needed
