Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Space Planning Store Layout Designer to develop store merchandising layouts, optimize space allocation, and support remodels across divisions. You will collaborate with Construction and Design, update aisle adjacencies, and ensure effective in-aisle flows aligned with sales objectives.

Responsibilities include maintaining fixtures, testing e-Mapping tools, and guiding division teams with layout standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors’ degree preferred along with merchandise mapping experience.
• 3 to 5 years plus the education listed above.
• Knowledge of internal store layout designs.
• Knowledge of category management processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of construction and store design.
• Strong PC skills and working knowledge of internal Albertsons systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of CAD based software systems.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Considerable initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Team oriented with excellent time management and organization skills.
• Customer service oriented with ability to maintain positive attitude in all situations.
• Multitask oriented and able to act as a liaison between multiple corporate departments.
• Sterling integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to effectively cope with change and comfortably handle risk and uncertainty.
• Store level merchandising and Merchandise planning experience preferred.
• Category management knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Space Allocation Review: maintain centre store space allocation and communicate changes.
• Fixtures and Equipment: ensure fixtures meet merchandising layout standards.
• e-Mapping Administration: update and manage e-Mapping tool and provide training.
