The role sits in Intel's Foundry Technology Development Yield organization, collaborating across manufacturing, operations, and engineering to ensure process stability, capability, and quality control, supporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related STEM field with 4+ years of experience, OR
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related STEM field with 2+ years of experience, OR
  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related STEM field with no prior experience required.
  • Statistical analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, JMP).
  • Semiconductor processing and manufacturing environments.
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Data structures and data analysis methods.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data analysis using statistical and data mining tools to identify defect and yield improvement opportunities.
  • Lead or participate in multi-functional teams to address yield challenges and implement process changes.
  • Collaborate with integration, module, and yield engineers to enhance process quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Develop tools, algorithms, and methodologies for high-volume data analysis to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs to prevent quality, line yield, and sort yield excursions.
  • Execute new product introductions and design of experiments to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Provide expertise to troubleshoot complex yield problems and ensure manufacturability.
