Job description

As a Process Integration and Yield Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving continuous improvements across advanced manufacturing processes. You'll focus on analyzing data, identifying root causes of yield and defect issues, and implementing corrective actions to improve process quality and reliability. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing Intel's manufacturing efficiency and delivering high-performance products to meet customer needs.

Business Group: This role is part of Intel's Foundry Technology Development Yield organization, which is dedicated to optimizing semiconductor manufacturing and enabling cutting edge solutions for foundry customers. The team works collaboratively across manufacturing, operations, and engineering to ensure process stability, capability, and quality control, supporting Intel's broader goals of innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct data analysis using statistical and data mining tools to identify defect and yield improvement opportunities.
  • Lead or participate in multi-functional teams to address yield challenges and implement process changes.
  • Collaborate with integration, module, and yield engineers to enhance process quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Develop tools, algorithms, and methodologies for high-volume data analysis to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs to prevent quality, line yield, and sort yield excursions.
  • Execute new product introductions and design of experiments to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Provide expertise to troubleshoot complex yield problems and ensure manufacturability.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or related STEM field with 4+ years of experience, OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or related STEM field with 2+ years of experience, OR PhD in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or related STEM field with no prior experience required.
  • Statistical analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, JMP). Semiconductor processing and manufacturing environments. Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE) principles. Data structures, and data analysis methods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of semiconductor fabrication techniques (e.g., Lithography, Etch, CMP, Thin Films). Programming languages.
  • Familiarity with machine learning tools for process analysis and yield enhancement.
  • Experience in failure analysis techniques and big data applications.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills to collaborate across teams and levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead improvement programs and effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Intel is seeking talented engineers ready to make an impact in semiconductor manufacturing. Explore this exciting opportunity to contribute to innovation and shape the future of technology.
