Job summary

Honigman LLP in Detroit seeks a Payroll and Compensation Analyst to deliver analytical, financial, and operational support for the payroll team across employees and partners. The role collaborates with Tax and FP&A to ensure precise compensation planning and acts as backup for payroll processing.

Responsibilities include analyzing payroll data, budgeting and forecasting, account reconciliations, reporting, and ADP support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, Data Science or related field preferred.
• Experience in data organization, collection & analytics.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and Excel skills.
• Knowledge of accounting and reconciliation processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Prior experience in ADP or another payroll systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze payroll data for employees and partners to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Support payroll budgeting and labor cost forecasting with FP&A.
• Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and verify deductions.
• Develop payroll reports and dashboards for leadership and HR.
• Provide ADP payroll processing support as needed.
