Job summary

Happen Bank is seeking a Compliance Testing Manager to independently design, lead, and execute testing reviews across consumer compliance risks. You will drive data-driven testing capabilities, identify control improvements, and partner with stakeholders to strengthen the enterprise-wide compliance program.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in banking or financial services, strong communication, and experience with regulations such as ECOA, UDAAP, and FCRA.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in banking or financial services, including compliance testing or related function
• Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with consumer protection laws and regulations and related controls
• Experience testing across banking/financial services regulations such as ECOA, UDAAP, TILA, TISA, FCRA, EFTA, EFAA, SCRA
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey testing results and recommendations
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and reach conclusions
• SQL to query/analyze data; Tableau or data visualization tools is a plus
• Ownership of reviews, prioritization, and adapting to regulatory changes
• Interest in applying AI to improve compliance research, testing, and documentation

Responsibilities

• Design, lead, and execute compliance testing reviews to assess control design and operating effectiveness across consumer compliance risks
• Identify control gaps and opportunities to strengthen the control environment
• Support data analytics and monitoring to test system- and data-driven processes
• Prepare clear testing reports and workpapers for stakeholders and leadership
• Document, track, and monitor compliance issues with timely remediation
• Build partnerships with business and Compliance Advisory to share risks and testing outcomes
• Assess and document business processes, risks, and controls; coordinate testing activities
• Contribute to ECO initiatives, audits, regulatory examinations, and strategic projects
