Job summary

Happen Bank, formerly LendingClub, is seeking a Compliance Testing Manager to independently lead reviews ensuring adherence to consumer financial laws and internal policies. The role focuses on strengthening controls, data-driven testing capabilities, and cross-functional collaboration to manage compliance risk.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in banking or financial services, a Bachelor's degree or higher, and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in banking or financial services, including compliance testing or a related function.
• Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Practical knowledge of consumer protection laws and regulations and related compliance risks.
• Experience testing banking/financial services regulations such as ECOA, UDAAP, TILA, TISA, FCRA, EFTA, EFAA, SCRA.
• Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience using SQL to query data; familiarity with Tableau is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, lead, and execute compliance testing reviews across consumer compliance risks.
• Identify control gaps and recommend practical enhancements.
• Develop data analytics and monitoring capabilities for testing processes.
• Prepare testing reports and workpapers for leadership with findings and recommendations.
• Document, track, and monitor issues through timely remediation with stakeholders.
• Build partnerships with the business and Compliance Advisory to share risks and testing outcomes.
• Coordinate testing activities and review work performed by others as needed.
